Charlotte Elissalde - carnival and sadness of the tropics of Teresa Uzeda

I remember our conversations carried on in April of previous year. Then I was already going to write the article about her. The slim silhouette, short hair and her big knowledge about old films, music and books. We mentioned Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau, Fritz Lang, about the German expressionism at all, about practical experience, crazy strong women and their husbands...about partings. Teresa Uzeda is a pseudonym. Charlotte has always wanted to be Madame Bovary, but it would be too obvious. So she chose the supporting figure - Teresa Uzeda. Probably it is necessary to come to Flaubert in order to say something more about her... I know that she lives in Cadiz on the south- western part of Spain, has an adolescent naughty son and is is one of the most diligent mobile photographers in the world. Fatteme Pezeshki Moghadam. Looking for the lost childhood

I n 1980, Iraqi leader Saddam Husain led his army in Iran. Instead of an easy victory and quick access to the oil fields of Chuzestan it was eight year bloody war.   In childhood, I remembered black and white short films from the Iraqi-Iranian border, especially the deadly victims of chemical attacks, the fight against bayonets, the positional war in trenches. Over one million victims. Huge material losses. The scenes at the front were reminiscent of the most cruel images of the First World War.Eight years of suffering without any solution. The real absurd of war.     In most beautiful Iranian film "Taste of Cherries,"of Abbas Kiarostami   the main character speaks directly to the camera: tired of all this, I just want to die...I'm looking for someone who will help me commit suicide..In fact, it wanders off the periphery of Tehran not so much in search of an assistant, and in search of purpose and hope.This is hope in Iranian art, especially in visual arts -

Grzegorz Milewski and his ,,street landshaft”

Grzegorz Milewski. Generation 1976. He comes from Cracow and he laconically is talking about himself – ,,I am interested in man and his history”. One can see it, are heard and to feel at his works. It's safe to say that it is an essence of the street photography, where the motive, the situation are the most important. Grzegorz loves the street and the people on it found. Compared to other street photographers stand it one more very impor tant feature - a sense of humor. Grzegorz easily invents absurd situations. His sense of humor, however, is warm, just like situations and persons from literure of Czech writer Bohumil Hrabal.  He is close to the people. He is not afraid to interact with the photographed people. Some of them seem to pose. However, there are natural, probably disarmed sincerity and modesty of the same author.
